Happy 1 Year Anniversary to In The Shell of A Nut!

I could not be more  excited to celebrate 1  year of In The Shell of A  Nut!! I know everyone  says it, but time  honestly just flew by  and without  even  realizing it I shared over  70+ recipes in just a  short time! I’ve  thoroughly enjoyed sharing old family favorites and by starting this blog I have been introduced to so many new, wonderful recipes that my love for baking and cooking just kept growing and growing. Even with this past year being one of my busiest and biggest juggling acts, I have found myself in the kitchen, apron on, more often than ever before and loving every minute of it! Now, not all of my creations have been absolute winners but that’s half of the fun and it is the quickest way to learn what not to do! But for the most part, I think we’ve had a year of wonderful dishes and baked goods!

In good fashion, I thought it would be fun to take a look at some of my reader’s favorites over the past year. I am the worst at choosing a “favorite” so I thought it would be much more appropriate to do a quick look at those recipes that had the most action!

Sally Lunn Bread!

First up is Sally Lunn Bread! It’s actually quite exciting to see this make the top five recipes viewed list, one because it’s one of my absolute favorite breads and two because it was actually the very first post!

Yellow Batter Chocolate Icing Birthday Cake!

You can’t go wrong with yellow batter chocolate icing birthday cake! It’s truly a staple!

Tilapia, spaghetti squash and roasted red potatoes!

The combination of tilipia and spaghetti squash is quite popular and is actually one of my most searched for recipes! The flavors are delicious and it couldn’t be more simple to make; everything in the oven means easy to make and easy to clean!

Snickerdoodle Cupcake!

I LOVED these snickerdoodle cupcakes!! So much fun to make and who can resist marshmallow frosting?! These definitely need to make an appearance in my kitchen again sooner than later!

Cranberry Almond Scones!

Hands down the most searched for and viewed recipe has to go to my cranberry almond scones!! These were actually the first scones I ever made and I’m happy to see that everyone enjoyed them as much as I did! Y’all have excellent taste!

Thanks for making such a wonderful first year for In The Shell of A Nut! For now, that’s your first year favorites…in the shell of a nut!

  • Congratulations ma’am! I can’t believe it’s been a year already – please keep the great recipes coming!

  • Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary Hill! Looking forward to seeing what the next year will bring! <3
